Jet Aviation Appoints New Head of Flight Services for EMEA and Asia
/Jet Aviation has appointed Norbert Ehrich, former VP Sales for Jet Aviation Flight Services South East U.S. and South America, as its new Vice President Flight Services EMEA and Asia. Ehrich succeeds Jürg Reuthinger, who retired at the end of 2018 after more than 35 years of dedicated service.
In his new role as VP Flight Services EMEA and ASIA, Ehrich is responsible for overseeing operations of Jet Aviation’s aircraft management and charter business throughout EMEA and Asia. He will also draw on his experience in the U.S. to strengthen alignment between regional operations. Ehrich has relocated to Zurich, Switzerland and now reports directly to Stefan Benz, SVP Operations EMEA.
A near 30-year Jet Aviation veteran, Ehrich began his aviation career in the Marketing department at Jet's Corporate Headquarters, then in Palm Beach, in August 1992. In 1999, he was appointed General Manager (GM) of Jet Aviation's FBO and MRO operations in Saudi Arabia, based in Jeddah, SA. Four years later, Ehrich returned to the U.S. as GM of the MRO and FBO operation in Palm Beach, to lead Jet’s Southern FBO operations. When Jet Aviation expanded to Brazil in 2010, Ehrich was tasked with establishing an MRO, Hangarage and Charter operation at Sorocabo. He has been responsible for aircraft management Sales in his current position since 2014. German born, Ehrich was raised in South America and moved to the U.S. in 1985. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Florida Atlantic University and is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
Jürg Reuthinger began his career with Jet Aviation in 1983 as a VIP cabin attendant for customers in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Brunei and Australia before returning to Zurich in 1989 to join the company’s Dispatch team. In 1993, he was appointed VP and GM of Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia, responsible for the company’s FBO and line maintenance facilities in Jeddah and Riyadh. He returned to Switzerland in 1999 as SVP and GM of Jet Aviation's aircraft management & charter division for EMEA & Asia, where he remained to date. He is also responsible for establishing the company’s Hong Kong operation in 2001.
