Journey Aviation | Flight Coordinator

Job Summary:

The flight coordinator serves as the central point of contact between Journey Aviation's flight crews and maintenance. This is a full-time position at Journey Aviation’s headquarters in Boca Raton FL. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Flight Coordinator responsibilities include: generate trip itineraries, research fuel pricing, arranging customs on international trips, manage aircraft/crew scheduling. 
  • Guarantee that each flight can be safely conducted and that all activities are in compliance with FAA and company operations specifications. 
  • Coordinate, schedule and plan all flights as to allow the efficient use of the aircraft and minimize the number of empty repositioning flights.   
  • Heavy telephone interface with clients and industry contacts. 
  • Maintain existing customer relationships. 
  • Keep confidential all company and client information. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Customer service roles include: arranging customer/crew catering and transportation needs, and active customer flight following.  
  • Customer service will always be the ultimate goal at Journey Aviation. The customer will always get the exact level of service they expect and require. 

 

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications of Ideal candidate: 

  • Experienced in FOS (Rockwell Collins – Flight Operations System)
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in flight operations and set-up 
  • College degree (aviation preferred)
  • Knowledge of FAR’s, world geography and business aircraft 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to be a team player in a high-pressure environment  
  • Local candidates preferred
