Two Key Initiatives Boost Sustainable Fuels in Orlando for NBAA-BACE
/The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes two key initiatives at the Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) that will promote the production, availability and use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Orlando.
NBAA-BACE will take place Oct. 18-20 at the Orange County Convention Center and nearby Orlando Executive Airport. SAF can reduce aviation’s lifecycle carbon emissions by up to 80%. Operators with flights into Orlando have two options to support the SAF market:
Buy SAF from Sheltair at Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) through leading independent fuel supplier, Avfuel Corporation. Avfuel has also made SAF supply available to Embraer and Textron Aviation for their flights to the NBAA-BACE static display. Contact information for Avfuel is here.
Purchase book and claim SAF with Atlantic Aviation at ORL and MCO in partnership with 4AIR. Atlantic Aviation is sponsoring the cost of SAF 100% for all customers, enabling operators to claim the sustainable credits of the SAF purchase without markup. Then, as is standard with book and claim, Atlantic will place the fuel into the supply chain in an independent transaction where the SAF is on-hand. The SAF demand generated this way helps increase supply and availability. 4AIR will be providing delivery receipts for all claimed gallons. Contact information for Atlantic Aviation: MCO and ORL.
“There are many ways to increase the production, availability and use of SAF, and we welcome the use of all of them to continue to grow this important market for low-carbon fuel,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “We commend the FBOs at the Orlando-area airports for giving those traveling to and from NBAA-BACE options that support our efforts to achieve our sustainability goals.”
