2) How would you describe your fleet or flagship aircraft?
We currently operate a fleet of two King Airs and 12 helicopters that are used for scenic tours, search & rescue and firefighting. Our King Air 200 is the champion of our fixed wing fleet. Great range, reliability and safety over our Northwest mountainous terrain.
3) What does the future look like for your company?
We are leaders in sustainability, quality & safety, and doing aviation differently. We believe in a relationship-first philosophy and treat our customers' budgets as if they were our own. We're uniquely set for growth in the Northwest as the operators of 12 helicopters and two airplanes, our future includes adding a few light jets to our charter fleet and perhaps a few more turboprops as well. Hillsboro Aviation is the first FBO to sell SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) in Oregon and as a Pacific Northwest business, we are proud to lead the way in sustainability.
4) How did you get into aviation?
I grew up following my warbird-loving dad from airports to museums, airshows and veterans' events. I've always had a love for flying. When COVID flipped our worlds upside, it gave me an opportunity to join an industry I've always loved.
5) What is your most popular itinerary/destination?
Portland or Hillsboro to Bandon Dunes. We are lucky to have a world-class golf course in our backyard! We love stretching our wings and visiting Jackson Hole or Sun Valley for Heliski in the winter and Palm Springs always.
6) Do you specialize in ambulance or cargo?
Cargo. You need it moved - we'll get it there.
7) Fun stories or narrative to share:
We've flown families on vacation, folks needing to travel for medical surgeries and to pick up a new puppy. We have so many fun stories from flying a helicopter to Seattle for a marriage proposal to getting folks where they need to go for business. We love it all.
