Air Charter Guide recently spoke with air charter operator Corporate Air LLC. With more than 90 employees at their Pittsburgh, PA fixed-based operation, they currently operate one of the largest and most modern business jet fleets in the area.
1) What sets your operation apart from the competition?
Our tiny team gives our customers a personalized experience. We communicate on a daily basis to ensure that all of our staff works together to go above and beyond to meet our clients' expectations. 2) How would you describe your fleet or flagship aircraft?
We have 9 state-of-the-art jet aircraft:
Gulfstreams: G650, G600, G450, GIV and G-280 (Three)

3) What does the future look like for your company?
Our company is internally growing and globally expanding our services and fleet.
4) How did you get into aviation?
On my 15th birthday my grandmother gave me $5.00 as a gift. I saw an ad in the paper for a discovery flight for $5. I went there, and it ended up being $23.14 an hour. I did 12 lessons each month and when I was 17, I got my license. I bought model airplanes until I could afford my own. The key is to have big dreams and be friendly to people. -Mark Schreiner
5) What is your most popular itinerary/destination?
We most frequently travel to Palm Beach, Florida, but we fly worldwide.
6) Do you specialize in ambulance or cargo?
We specialize in charter transportation.
7) Fun stories or narrative to share:
The week before Christmas, Corporate Air hosted a Christmas lunch in our FBO. All the employees and the FBO customers ate food, enjoyed music, and got their faces painted. Everyone is very close at Corporate Air and like to celebrate holidays together.
8) What is your #1 travel tip for charter travelers?
Not all charter companies are the same, so it's a good idea to do some research before settling on one. Calling a few charter operators and speaking with a charter representative is a good practice. Inquire about:
Their aircraft maintenance records
The qualifications of their pilots
Their level of security
