NBAA’s Powerful Aircraft Transactions Workshop Sets the Standard for Value in a Specialized Sector

In an increasingly complex business aircraft transactions environment, the recent National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Aircraft Transactions Workshop provided an essential venue to gather dozens of top panelists and attendees, representing hundreds of clients and decades of experience, to simplify the often-complicated worlds of finance, insurance, purchase agreements and more.

“NBAA’s Aircraft Transactions Workshop was a success at every level,” said Benjamin Schwalen, NBAA general counsel, corporate secretary and liaison to the association’s Tax Committee. “Each attendee came away with the confidence to ensure the success of their unique and individualized transaction.”

Watson Bowen, with Shackelford, McKinley & Norton, LLP, agreed with Schwalen’s assessment. “No other event offered the caliber of this workshop in charting today’s highly specialized aircraft-transaction landscape.”

GKG Law Principal Letisha Sailor added, “I’m accustomed to working with attorneys and accountants and having perspectives from other key players involved in transactions was uniquely informative.”

“The event proved highly valuable to everyone, including those new to the concept of transactions, or long-time practitioners in the industry,” said Jeff Agur, CEO of The VanAllen Group and chair of the NBAA Tax Committee’s Aircraft Transactions Working Group. “We are delighted with the response to this conference and look forward to continually enhancing its value in the future.”

Plans are already underway for the 2026 NBAA Aircraft Transactions Workshop, with the date and location to be announced later this year.
