Fargo Air Museum Celebrity Arrives for 16th Annual Fundraiser

The North American F-86 Sabre, the celebrity to be honored at the Fargo Air Museum’s 16th Annual Celebrity Dinner & Auction, makes the journey to Fargo this week with the help of community partners. The Sabre, previously on display at the Jamestown, ND airport, receives first-class care and transportation to the Fargo Air Museum generously donated by High Power Crane, Industrial Builders Inc., and community volunteers.

The arrival of the aircraft comes one week prior to the 16th Annual Celebrity Dinner & Auction, the Fargo Air Museum’s annual fundraiser, set for Thursday, September 12th, 2024. The evening begins at 5 pm with a social hour, bar service, and live entertainment followed by a plated dinner, a program honoring the Sabre, a live auction, and more. Tickets, tables, and sponsorship opportunities can be purchased on the Fargo Air Museum’s website at fargoairmuseum.org/cda.

“The Fargo Air Museum is honored to be the new home of the North American F-86H Sabre #53-1253. Over the course of the winter, the F-86 will be reassembled and stored in anticipation of its eventual restoration to static display and mounting in front of the Fargo Air Museum's Main Hangar along 19th Avenue. The paint scheme the Sabre will receive honors Fargo Air Museum co-founder and longtime member of the North Dakota Air National Guard, the late Maj. General Darrol Schroeder. The Fargo Air Museum wishes to thank the Sabre recovery volunteers for their donations of time, equipment and energy into getting the jet safely to the museum. Guests of our annual auction receive an exclusive look at the F-86 on Thursday, September 12th.”
