Charter Spotlight: North American Air Charter

Air Charter Guide recently spoke to Ehsan Naranji, owner, North American Air Charter. Since its inception in 1990, North American has offered superior service, continuously adjusting their in-flight services to meet each client’s individual needs.

1) Charter travelers tips and know-how: How do you guide a customer through the process?

When a client contacts us, we collect all the details of what they are looking for. We then customize the trip to fit all of their needs. The size and range of the aircraft are most important. Once that is decided, we can get to the details of all of their likes and dislikes that will make the trip the best possible experience for them.

2) How would you describe your fleet or flagship aircraft?

We are currently growing our fleet and offer a variety of aircraft. The newest on our list are our Honda Jets. Honda Jets are gaining rapid popularity both for their range and cost. The Honda is a great aircraft for Business day trips and weekend getaways.

3) What does the future look like for your company?

North American is growing very quickly. For many years, we kept our business small, and all of our aircraft lived in one hangar on the East Coast. In the last year, we have branched out and now have aircraft in various locations around the US. We are now able to offer more options to a much bigger client base.

4) How did you get into aviation?

As a child, I always dreamed of becoming a pilot. My passion for aviation grew stronger over the years, especially as I began flying different types of aircraft, including helicopters. My journey into the charter industry began when I purchased my first jet. The idea of starting my own company took shape after I acquired my second midsized jet.

I believe in delivering superior service, particularly in the world of aviation. We take pride in offering exceptional service to our charter clients and providing transparent, efficient aircraft management for our aircraft owners.

With over three decades of experience in engineering, aerospace, management, and sports for both commercial and government clients, we bring a unique understanding of safety, trust, stability, precision, and efficiency—blended seamlessly with luxurious service.

5) What is your most popular itinerary/event/destination?

The East Coast is our busiest area. North / South / North is always a hopping run. Summertime brings Martha's Vineyard and most of New England alive. Saratoga is always the summer go-to for horse races.

6) Do you specialize in ambulance or cargo?

North American is always ready to do organ-run flights. We believe that if we can help give the gift of life to anyone, all of the time we put in is worth the trip.

7) Fun stories or narratives to share:

We had a Client who took pets on vacation all the time. Once, while on a trip, one of their dogs had a doctor's appointment on the opposite coast. We flew him home to get the medical attention he needed and then returned him to his vacation. Pets are some of our favorite passengers.

8) What is a memorable event you’ve taken passengers to in the past?

It would be impossible to pick just one event. As a Charter Company we are able to see so many memorable events. We have taken new parents to pick up their adoptive child, which in itself is an absolute dream. We take families to drop their child off to college. You can just see the proud and exciting feelings.

9) Share a key quote about jet travel with our readers:

In the big picture of aircraft charter people see flashy aircraft, luxurious settings and amazing catering. The real advantage, though, is the savings and convenience of it all. Flying private lets you—not the airline—make your schedule. It can help people make it to multiple appointments on the same day and relax in their own homes that same night. All we need are the trip details, and everything will be done, including ground transport. If you have never used a charter aircraft before it is definitely worth a try.
