Broker Spotlight: Symphony Private Jets
/Air Charter Guide recently spoke with Lisa Campbell of Symphony Private Jets, a charter broker based in Portsmouth, NH. Symphony can set you up with the perfect charter aircraft, whether you want a light jet to take a couple of executives to a meeting in the city or a more luxurious aircraft for your cross-country or international vacation.
1) What sets your operation apart from the competition?
Symphony is not just a broker; we are also an aircraft operator through our charter company, Air New England. We know and understand the complexities and challenges associated with preparing for a charter. The value is in our experience with both sides of the broker/charter equation
2) What does the future look like for your company?
Our future is bright. Symphony allows us an avenue to enhance and globalize our services, thereby offering options for our existing customers while attracting new ones with our ever-increasing services. In fact, Symphony Private Jets has been in existence for less than a year, yet has quickly become the leading customer for Air New England.
3) How did you get into aviation?
I had the fortunate opportunity to visit Germany as an exchange student during the summer between my sophomore and junior year of high school. My host family owned a flight school that taught flying in all types of aircraft. I spent the entire summer flying rather than attending school, which was in session in Germany. I left for Germany with my sights set on being an anesthesiologist. I flew home knowing that summer changed my life and I was going to be a pilot.
4) What is the hidden gem destination city you would recommend for charter travelers?
I’m biased but it would have to be Portsmouth, NH. If one were to never leave the city proper one would be exposed to world-class cuisine, breathtaking ocean views and a glimpse into the past with the cobblestones, gas lantern streets and architecture straight from the 1800s. Portsmouth also serves as a fantastic base of operation with mountains, lakes and metropolitan areas less than an hour away.
5) What is the must-see attraction you recommend?
Although I have never visited, I have been told by many people that visiting the Grand Canyon provides a life-altering experience.
6) What is your #1 travel tip for charter travelers?
Choose a broker that you know has your best interest in mind. Someone who is present throughout your journey, paving the way for the most successful trip imaginable.
