A New Year for Flying High
/MEBAA’s tenth edition welcomed a diverse range of more than 145 local, regional and global exhibitors, with over 65 first-time exhibitors, setting a record for the event. The static display was a major highlight, featuring 30 aircraft from leading names such as Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing Business Jets, Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Gulfstream, Textron, RoyalJet, Qatar Executive, VISTA, Falcon, Comlux, Aloula Aviation and more. Our own Meredith Fortunato was impressed by the exquisite selection of jets, with her personal favorite being the ultralarge cabin Gulfstream 700. “The G700 continues to exceed customer expectations since entering service in April,” said Scott Neal, senior vice president, Worldwide Sales, Gulfstream. “It is truly an industry-leading aircraft that has raised the bar for performance, innovation and comfort.”
Aviation Week Network’s Michele Markarian and Sara Hellon met with international teams from aviation companies like Nexus Jet from Korea, Empire Aviation from the UAE, Quick Air from India, McDan Aviation Ghana, Voyages Maldives, Kingcraft Aviation from India and Austria’s VOO to name a few. Brian Kough, Senior Director, Forecasts & Aerospace Insights | Intelligence & Data Services | Aviation Week Network spoke to a large audience about the recent abrupt trend changes in prices, utilization, OEM backlogs, supply chain issues and lack of maintenance availability for the global business aviation market.
While “Dienst ist Dienst und Schnaps ist Schnaps,” our team members got out to ride camels in the desert, marvel at the Dubai gold souk and visit the Burj Khalifa. The world’s tallest structure, with a breathtaking 163 floors, the Burj contains a total of 57 elevators and 8 escalators. Did you know the primary structure is reinforced concrete and some of the structural steel for the building originated from the Palast der Republik in what’s formerly known as East Berlin? It’s also home to the world's highest New Year display of fireworks.

If not in person, we look forward to connecting with you at any time in between to talk about your business needs and experiences and work together on promoting your services.
