NATA Applauds Steve Dickson’s Steadfastness and Contributions to the Aviation Business Community as FAA Administrator

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) issued the following statement on the Federal Aviation Administration’s announcement of Steve Dickson’s decision to step down as Administrator at the end of March 2022:

“NATA thanks Steve Dickson for his service as FAA Administrator and wishes him the best. Both the industry and the agency benefitted from his steady leadership during some of the most difficult situations facing aviation—overseeing certification reform following the 737 Max crashes and the process to safely integrate 5G into the NAS—throughout the most challenging pandemic times. Administrator Dickson’s commitment to continuous safety improvement, dedication to industry collaboration, and ability to instill confidence among consumers and the community will serve the agency well for years to come,” stated NATA President and CEO Timothy Obitts. “Administrator Dickson advanced the cause of safety, was a friend to the industry, and understood the value of business aviation. He will be missed.”
