NBAA Recognizes Mike Nichols’ 20 Years of Service

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has announced that Senior Vice President, Strategy and Innovation Mike Nichols, CAM, CAE, is retiring April 30, 2021, after nearly 20 years of service with the association.

Nichols currently leads the NBAA Strategy & Innovation Division, which is charged with creating opportunities for emerging technologies relevant to business aviation; providing innovative strategy perspectives to enhance existing programs, products and services; and promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the association. He also oversees NBAA’s professional development initiatives and provides overall direction for the association’s many educational offerings.

Nichols joined the association in June 2003 as manager of tax and finance issues. Subsequent positions included director of tax, economics and operational services; vice president of operations, education and economics; and vice president of operational excellence and professional development. For several years, he led the team that produced the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) in Shanghai, China.
