NATA’s Popular Ground Handling Safety Symposium (GHSS) to Take Place in a New Digital Format
/The National Air Transportation Association (NATA)’s Ground Handling Safety Symposium (GHSS) is back in a new digital format for 2020. The 4th installment of the GHSS will be held from September 22-24, 2020, featuring keynote speaker, Neil Smith, Secretary General, International Union of Aerospace Insurers.
The new format will feature 2-3 one hour sessions per day, which will continue the momentum this event has gained over the past few years, while maintaining the interactive spirit of the in-person GHSS and allowing additional participation from attendees far and wide.
Session topics will include:
- Aircraft Movement Damage: How, Why and What Do We Do
- Aircraft Operators’ Perspective on Ground Handling
- Complacency Challenge
- Engaging Aircraft OEMs in Ground Handling Safety
- GHSS Case Studies
- Managing Fatigue in a Ground Handling Operation
- Panel Discussions
Attendees will learn solutions for the operational safety needs of FBOs and other GA ground handlers in an interactive, digital platform. The GHSS will consist of panel discussions, keynote speeches, case studies, and townhall-style sharing sessions spread throughout the day so attendees can balance work with continuing safety education.
The Symposium is intended for safety professionals, directors, line service managers, operations managers, flight departments, and others. Attendees will also have multiple opportunities to network with colleagues and industry experts.
