NATA’s John McGraw Reappointed to TSA’s Aviation Security Advisory Committee

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) issued a press release on 9/27, announcing several new members of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC) and reaffirming several existing members, including NATA. The ASAC provides TSA with expertise from industry members representing the entire spectrum of civil aviation. ASAC subcommittees and working groups explore specific issue areas (e.g. cargo, general aviation, secondary barriers, and insider threat) and develop recommendations for security enhancements presented to TSA through the full ASAC. Most recently, the ASAC approved a suite of recommendations developed by the Insider Threat subcommittee, on which NATA is represented, to improve the capability to mitigate insider threats to aviation operations.
