Gulfstream G600 Receives Type and Production Certificates from FAA

Gulfstream Aerospace announced on June 28 that the G600 received its type and production certificates from the FAA.

The certifications allow the Gulfstream to deliver the G600 to customers as scheduled this year, Gulfstream says.

The G600 is the third Gulfstream aircraft model to get its type and production certificates simultaneously.

Before certification, Gulfstream spent “nearly 100,000 hours of ‘flying’ in our labs and more than 3200 hours of flying in the air,” Gulfstream president Mark Burns says.

The G600 has a 6500-nm range at a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85.
