ARGUS is currently seeking a Vice President; Market Intelligence to join our team. This position will work at our Denver, CO location. This position is responsible for the leadership of the Market Intelligence division of ARGUS which provides aviation related products and services. Responsibilities include managing product development, marketing strategy, proactive and reactive sales opportunities, pricing, coordinating completing bids and/or RFP responses, and any/all costs associated with these products and services. Additionally, the position is involved in various capacities as described below relative to the TRAQPak product line and other aviation related products.
Responsibilities will include:
Participate as directed by the company in the overall planning, execution, development, management and evolutionary requirements of the product lines
Management of the TRAQPak product line;
o Work closely with the Associate Product Manager, Product Developer, IT resources using your in-depth market and user understanding, to identify product enhancement and feature set – based upon benefit value proposition to the market, user, and/or company
o System Capability and Functionality
o Customer and prospect needs survey
o Develop User Interface suggestions
o Perform market assessment and competitive analysis
o Participate in marketing plan preparation, pricing analysis, research, and recommendations
o Participate in web, telephonic, on-site and conference setting product demonstrations when needed
o Participate with sales opportunities to potentially large or unique customers.
o Participate in after sale product support to the clients that you led or were involved in the sales process
o Represent the TRAQPak product at conventions and other public venues
o Coordinate and assist sales managers with formal proposals as necessary
o Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly reporting as requested by EVP
Participate in the development of an annual Sales and Marketing Plan for the above listed products, and for providing quarterly updates, revisions, and modifications to the Plan.
Understand the product line being sold including competitive factors and changes occurring with the industry having impact on pertinent ARGUS products or services. Provide assistance in identifying valid prospects to be utilized in a company approved marketing and sales initiative designed to promote customer opportunities for the products and services described above.
Perform follow up on sales opportunities on prospects that are consistent with the products and services described above and are not assigned to dedicated ARGUS sales representatives, in an attempt to work that lead through the appropriate sales cycle.
Coordinate the RFP process by securing internal resources, scheduling, delegating assignments, coordinating responses, and ensure ARGUS meets or exceeds customer's expectations
Professionally represent the company at trade shows and conferences when appropriate to product & service area.
Customer account management (including product and financial issues as needed).
Customer Contact Database management.
Coordinate and assist sales managers with proposal preparation and delivery.
Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly reports as requested by the EVP.
Provide insight to EVP relative to ideas or plans that may result in an increase or decrease to sales opportunities.
Vice President Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual sales reports and distribute as directed
Participate in marketing or other related initiatives as requested by EVP
Prepare timely and accurate expense reports utilizing company methods
Perform training to other company individuals as requested by your EVP
The Vice President is expected to be knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
Supervise any/all subordinates in conjunction with company Policy
Minimum requirements:
4-year college degree or equivalent work experience as determined by employer
Previous experience (10 years minimum) in the aviation industry
Excellent and professional written and verbal skills
Good working knowledge of all Internet, Email, Microsoft Office programs and PDA’s
Good working knowledge of contact management databases, preferably Salesforce
Excellent phone, interpersonal and organizational skills
