Quirky Promotional Film Highlights Quick Commute from London Oxford Airport

London Oxford Airport has enlisted the talents of canine supermodel ‘Ivanka’ to highlight that car journeys from London Oxford Airport (EGTK) to London’s West End are achievable in under 60 minutes.

Ivanka’ - played by Iraida, the supermodel ‘Gucci Poochie’ Afghan hound - is the star of a three-minute film directed by Liz Moscrop and the GearupTV team, which also features stunt drivers, a BMW Mini, a Porsche and some unconventional use of our runway.  It is currently in final edit, readied to be premiered next month.

Building on the theme, the airport is inviting jet-set pet owners and operators to send in digital photos of their pets on a plane.  It is offering a bottle of champagne for the best five in an Instagram and Twitter competition leading up to the business aviation fraternity’s biggest event, NBAA-BACE in Orlando, FL. October 15-18.

To date, London Oxford Airport has handled well over 1,000 pets, predominantly dogs, accompanying their owners on business jets and helicopters.

London Oxford Airport regularly assists in air transportation options for local events, supported by 22- minute helicopter shuttles from its sister operation, the London Heliport. It also supports ad-hoc charters for commercial airliners with up to 100 seats-plus.

The airport and its IS-BAH Stage 2-accredited FBO Oxfordjet returns to Air Charter Expo (ACE 2018) on Tuesday, September 11th.  Booth No 616.
