OneJet to Acquire Ultimate JetCharters
/Airline brand OneJet, which provides point-to-point service to small and midsize markets, has signed an agreement for its first acquisition, Ohio-based operator Ultimate JetCharters.
It operates 30-seat Dornier and Embraer regional jets for private charter clients as well as per-seat scheduled services on select routes under the Ultimate Air Shuttle brand.
The combined operation will have a fleet of nearly 25 aircraft by year-end, including aircraft operated by Ultimate and existing operating partner Contour Airlines. Ultimate JetCharters will be integrated into OneJet’s network over the next month, with flights beginning June 4.
Concurrently, OneJet, founded in 2015, will continue to accelerate the addition of Embraer ERJs to its network throughout 2018. The company introduced the aircraft with the launch of service between the New York state cities of Buffalo and Albany earlier this year.
The Ultimate Air Shuttle brand will remain independent and continue to operate per-seat scheduled service to and from Cincinnati, as well as private charters for corporate, casino and collegiate clients.
“The Ultimate team is renowned by both customers and industry colleagues for its stellar operational reliability and customer service, with over 30 years of experience providing a wonderful product to both corporate and leisure customers,” said OneJet CEO Matthew Maguire.
According to JetCharters CEO John Gordon, “Ultimate JetCharters and Ultimate Air Shuttle were built on the foundation of serving the customers and that mission will not change. In fact, combining the strengths of both companies will provide an even better service experience and additional travel options for our customers.”
Together, the companies’ networks will serve more than 17 cities in the eastern half of the U.S., from Milwaukee to Morristown, New Jersey, and south as far as West Palm Beach, Florida.
OneJet will be making schedule and routing adjustments during May, with announcements of several new routes as the Ultimate operations are integrated into its network.
