/The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes Enterprise Holdings President and Chief Executive Officer Pamela Nicholson, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Christine Taylor, as speakers at the Day 1 Keynote during NBAA's Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), Oct. 16-18 in Orlando, FL.
Enterprise Holdings, which owns the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, is the largest car rental provide in the world. The company, operates nearly 2 million vehicles, and relies on business aviation as an essential tool in managing its more than 10,000 locations globally.
“We’re pleased to have these highly regarded executives with us this year, and hear their perspectives on leadership and innovation in a period of rapid change and transformation,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
A 37-year veteran of Enterprise Holdings, Nicholson is only the third CEO in the company’s history, and the first from outside of the Taylor family, which founded the company in 1957. She has served in multiple roles throughout the country, leading the company’s rental operations. Nicholson was appointed president in 2008 and promoted to CEO in 2013. Fortune has ranked her on their list of Most Powerful Women in Business for the past 12 consecutive years.
Also one of the highest-ranking women in the global car rental industry and automotive and travel industries, Taylor oversees the Enterprise Holding’s operations. She is the third generation of leadership of the privately owned company. Her career began similarly, joining Enterprise Rent-A-Car's Management Training Program in 2000. She later moved to London to help expand the U.K. rental operations. Taylor returned to the U.S. in 2008 taking on multiple leadership roles, before being named executive vice president and COO in 2016.
Business aviation has been a key driver to the success and growth of Enterprise Holdings, and company officials have regularly attested to its value. Enterprise Holdings Executive Chairman Andrew Taylor delivered the keynote presentation at NBAA’s 2014 convention, offering testimonials about the value of business aviation in publications produced for the No Plane No Gain industry advocacy campaign. This included the inaugural Top Ten resource, in which 10 respected CEOs affirmed how business aviation works for their companies.
Two years later, Nicholson further noted that “business aviation is a transportation mode that helps us be more efficient, productive and successful” in the expanded Business Leaders on Business Aviation resource, published in 2016 as part of the No Plane No Gain program.
NBAA-BACE is business aviation’s most important annual event, where participants have an unequaled opportunity to view the latest business aircraft, products, technology and services the industry offers. Held this year at the Orange County Convention Center and Orlando Executive Airport, the event also offers a premier networking venue and dozens of education sessions.
