Northwestern Michigan College Awards College Credit for Unmanned Safety Institute's Certification

The Unmanned Safety Institute (USI), the leading provider of educational curriculum and industry certifications to students interested in a career as professional remote pilots, announced today that Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) has accepted its industry-leading Small UAS Safety Certification™ program and has signed an articulation agreement with the company, awarding three college credits to any student who completes the program.

The Small UAS Safety Certification™ program includes a complete turnkey curriculum package with all course materials including a 400-page academic textbook, instructor aids, and course content packaged in USI’s digital Learning Management System.  The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) estimates that there could be anywhere from 400,000 to 2.3 million licensed remote pilots by 2020.  USI already boasts a network of nearly 100 USI Certified Instructors™ throughout the United States who have already educated thousands of students to its Small UAS Safety Certification™.  Many enterprises and organizations around the world trust USI to deliver high-quality remote pilot training & certification to ensure they operate to USI’s elite standards.
