ExecuJet is currently seeking a suitably qualified person to fill a vacancy within the Safety and Compliance division, based at Cambridge, UK.

The main objective of the position is management of the European Safety Management System, in line with EASA OPS and regional national & international regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Operational tasks

  • Management of the European Harmonised Safety Management System
  • Day to Day responsibility for the management of the European Safety Reporting System
  • Lead Safety investigations and studies in response to incidents and safety critical issues.
  • Development and ongoing management of Safety Management Processes
  • Responsible for the administration of the Flight Data Monitoring Programme for ExecuJet Europe & the Middle East
  • Assure close coordination / liaison of each national system with the European Safety System
  • Assures compliance with CAA UK, DTA DK, FOCA CH with regards of Safety issues for Flight Ops and Continued Airworthiness.
  • Responsible for regular evaluation of the SMS determine the effectiveness & to ensure continual improvement of the System
  • Management of the Safety & Compliance Department
  • Chair Safety related meetings throughout Europe, and provide safety related content to specific departmental meetings
  • Manage the change management process related to operational changes within the European system & support the process when changes in other Group regions affect the European system.
  • Management the European Emergency Response Plan
  • Responsible for ensuring the applicable safety training for all ExecuJet Europe Crew & Staff
  • Completion of operational risk assessments when required and responsible for maintaining and updating the ExecuJet Europe operational Risk Register.
  • Support the departmental managers in the completion of Management of Change when required.
  • Statistical analysis of safety data to monitor safety performance throughout the Company
  • Promoting Corporate safety culture at all times
  • Produce regular safety publications in liaison with Group Safety Departments

Additional responsibilities

  • Perform internal and external quality audits for EJUK, EJHUK, EJDK & EJCH and ISBAO operation.
  • Monitor all corrective actions taken and to be taken within the time limits imposed by the auditor and manage the completion of actions with the appointed post holder

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Educated to Degree Standard or Equivalent
  • Safety Management Systems Training
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Training
  • Previous experience of managing Safety Management Systems within a commercial airline operation
  • Experience of dealing with management at a senior level
  • Experience of managing staff and working in a small unit.
  • Experience of providing training through presentations and on a one to one basis
  • Experience of liaising with the Regulatory Authority
  • In depth knowledge of International/National Aviation Law & ICAO Annexes, Inc EU-OPS in depth.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of risk assessment and hazard identification
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Strong IT software understanding particularly Microsoft office
