Hugh Wilson of JetFinders and Project Phoenix Killed in Air CrashHugh Wilson, beloved friend and colleague in the aviation industry, died on a charity flight to raise money for his church. The light aircraft he was flying crashed in a field near Sourton Caundie, Dorset. Wilson, 63, was found dead at the scene by paramedics. Hugh Wilson had more than 35 years of experience in the aviation industry. An experienced pilot, Wilson learned to fly in the Royal Air Force University Air Squadron at Leeds, afterward maintaining his license privately. Over the course of his career, Wilson worked with such aviation luminaries as Cessna, Bombardier, Gulfstream and Rolls Royce. Wilson was Managing Director for JetFinders, a worldwide jet sourcing and sales company based in the United Kingdom. A warm and knowledgeable gentleman, he will be sorely missed.
