Spurred on into the 2nd Quarter of 2009: Silver Bird Charterflug Defies the Crisis

The private executive jet company with headquarters in Saarbrücken has announced a doubling of turnover for the first quarter. "As a result of restructuring the company in Saarbrücken and the expansion of the Aircraft Management division, we were able to achieve a doubling of turnover with business flights in spite of the global economic crisis," said CEO Jörg Socko.

In February this year, Silver Bird Charterflug moved its headquarters from Bremen to Saarbrücken and expanded its fleet of Learjets by adding long-haul flights. The operator of luxurious private jets thus provides four Learjets, one Challenger 300, one Legacy 600 and one Gulfstream G450. Further long-haul jets, operated on behalf of international aircraft owners, will be announced over the next few months.

Years of experience in the charter business and air ambulance transport as well as individual customer relations are what set the executive aviation company apart. “The contact with our customers is the crucial factor," said Sales Director Miguel Arnela. "We offer bespoke aviation services and orient ourselves to our customers’ requirements alone." In this way business travel in a private jet remains an attractive and above all time-saving alternative to scheduled flights for small and mid-sized businesses as well.

The executive jet business was founded in 1994 by the Managing Director Peter Döllner. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Jörg Socko. The partner company for distribution is CharterLounge.
