PRISM, the Safety Management System (SMS) solutions provider, has completed comprehensive SMS Training for Deer Jet, China’s largest charter jet operator and aircraft management company.
PRISM delivered an SMS overview to the company’s senior executives and provided company-wide training for more than 300 Deer Jet employees. Deer Jet selected PRISM’s training experts as part of their initiative to integrate SMS into Deer Jet’s existing management system.
The PRISM team spent eight days on site coaching and actively working with Deer Jet’s safety, quality, and operational staff to improve and refine their processes and procedures. This training ensures Deer Jet’s corporate culture has adequate documentation, implementation and integration of the four components of SMS:
• policy and objectives
• risk management
• safety assurance
• and safety promotion.
“The PRISM team impressed us with their SMS expertise and experience,” Deer Jet president Zhang Zhi said. “They possess a deep knowledge, not just from a conceptual or theoretical perspective, but in a way that allowed our employees to turn this information into immediate improvements within their specific areas of responsibility.”
“PRISM is committed to providing operators with in-depth SMS training that not only delivers knowledge and expertise, but enables the customer to incorporate SMS into their corporate culture,” PRISM executive vice president Bill Yantiss said. “Our worldwide experience proved extremely effective in developing strategies to take SMS from theory to practice under the Chinese regulatory structure. We are pleased that Deer Jet has taken this important step.”
PRISM, a wholly owned subsidiary of ARGUS International Inc., offers a constructed pathway to ease the burden of compliance and improve the effectiveness of a flight operation. PRISM understands the 24/7/365 nature of the aviation industry and has developed ARMOR, a web-based tool that provides operators with a system that all employees can gain required access to at any time, while allowing the safety officer the ability to manage all elements of the SMS from a laptop and internet connection from anywhere around the world. PRISM SMS meets the requirements of IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) and is consistent with both FAA and EASA guidance documents.
