Pratt & Whitney Canada Appoints Metrojet as Recognized Maintenance Facility and Mobile Repair TeamMetrojet, headquartered in Hong Kong, has been appointed as a Pratt & Whitney Recognized Maintenance Facility and Mobile Repair Team. Pratt & Whitney Canada is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft turbine or jet engines for powering business, general aviation, regional aircraft and helicopters. “The appointment as a Pratt & Whitney Recognized Maintenance Facility further enhances our maintenance capabilities to provide additional service on Pratt & Whitney engines, including components, engine changes, troubleshooting and the various engine inspections,” said Chris Buchholz, CEO of Metrojet Limited. “Our appointment will help us to further strengthen our support of Pratt & Whitney powered aircraft around the region.” Metrojet operates a 24/7 maintenance and AOG hotline to support corporate aircraft around the clock throughout Asia with a team of more than 70 maintenance professionals. Metrojet manages an inventory of more than $15 million in Gulfstream and other on-site spares at its airside facility, thereby facilitating regional AOG support for business aircraft. The maintenance department is a fully certified repair station with approvals from both the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department and the United States Federal Aviation Administration and is also fully authorized to carry out maintenance on aircraft registered in various countries, including China, Macau, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.
