Metrojet Achieves IS-BAO Registration

Metrojet, headquartered in Hong Kong, has achieved International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) registration.

IS-BAO is modeled on the ISO 9000 family of standards. It requires development of programs, systems, processes and procedures to meet safety and security standards. The foundation of IS-BAO is the development of a safety management system to assess and mitigate the risks encountered in flight operations.

“In achieving this registration, Metrojet has implemented a portfolio of the international standards and industry best practices to manage the safety, security, efficiency and effectiveness of our operations,” International Business Aviation Council Ltd. director general Donald Spruston said.

“Our flight department, engineering and safety management personnel invested considerable time and effort to develop and implement this world-class business aviation code of practice,” Metrojet CEO Björn Näf said.
