Metrojet has added another dimension of business aviation support to its expansive capabilities by becoming the first full Bombardier Authorized Service Facility in north Asia. Metrojet’s enhanced capabilities offer regional clients and transient aircraft complete maintenance support on Bombardier aircraft in Asia.
The upgrade status further strengthens Bombardier and Metrojet’s commitment to business aviation in the region. A sister company of the Peninsula Hotel and part of the Kadoorie Group, Metrojet currently operates from the Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre and supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, regional AOGs as well as warranty work and smart parts distribution and handling.
“The upgrade comes at an opportune time considering the growing number of Bombardier aircraft that are being based in Asia, and it reflects Metrojet’s unwavering commitment to support these aircraft,” said Metrojet CEO Chris Buchholz.
Metrojet’s Avionics and Airframe engineers also have ratings on various aircraft from numerous manufacturers. Metrojet’s highly trained, qualified and experienced engineers have Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, GE, Honeywell and Turbomeca aircraft engines and APU type ratings. With a combined engineering staff of nearly 90 maintenance professionals, Metrojet’s maintenance department is a certified repair station with approvals from the Hong Kong CAD, the United States FAA, Bermuda BDCA and Cayman Islands CAA. Metrojet is also authorized to carry out maintenance on aircraft registered in various other countries, including mainland China, Macau and Canada.
Metrojet operates the leading Asian corporate aircraft maintenance service center around the clock throughout the region. Metrojet is a full Bombardier Authorized Service Facility for Global, Challenger and Learjet aircraft with a dedicated AOG go team. Metrojet’s Maintenance Service Centre provides heavy/scheduled inspections and repair services and can be reached via its 24-hour hotline at (+852) 2215 3838 or by e-mail at mx@metrojet.com.
