Titan Aviation, Cochin International Airport Organize First Kerala Aircraft Static Display Show

Titan Aviation, in partnership with Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL), is organizing the first ever “Kerala Aircraft Static Display Show — 2011” scheduled to be held on April 29 and 30 at Cochin International Airport, Cochin, Kerala.

The purpose of the event is to create awareness about general and corporate aviation among business community and bring them in direct contact with Business/Private Aircraft manufacturers and sellers. Titan Aviation co-sponsored the Heli Tourism Conference held in CIAL on Feb 15, 2011, to promote the concept of Helicopter Tourism and Helicopter Charter Operations in and around Kerala. “Within a month of Heli Tourism Conference, our commitment to organize the Aircraft Static Display Event shows the dedication and commitment of Titan Aviation in promoting business aviation and aircraft charter services in India, especially in South India where we have offices in Bangalore, Chennai and Cochin.” Titan Aviation CEO Sajad Mohamed said.

Touted as “God’s own country,” Kerala is a popular tourist destination famous for its backwaters, ayurvedic treatment and tropical greenery. With a literacy rate of 94.59 percent Kerala has the highest Human Development Index than any other state in India and as per the Transparency International survey Kerala was ranked as the least corrupt state in the country.

Since the 1990s, the liberalization of economy has fuelled growth and job creation in Kerala. For example during 2007-2008 Kerala’s GSDP was U.S. $36.06 billion out of which 63.8 percent was contributed by the service sector including tourism, banking, finance, transportation and communications. This growth demands the need for faster and efficient mode of air transportation for the business community and high net worth individuals which can be provided only by means of private/business aircraft operations.

This show will provide a platform to introduce the concept of Private Aircraft/Helicopter ownership and the benefits of private air travel to the rich clientele of Kerala and South India. Titan Aviation will play the role of a mediator connecting aircraft exhibitors and potential customers from South India where as CIAL will take care of necessary arrangements for the Static Display of Aircraft, relevant infrastructure, security and support for the exhibitors and visitors.
