Jet Aviation Teterboro opens a new avionics shop, receives additional FAA approvals and expands its skilled avionics team

Jet Aviation Teterboro has opened a new avionics shop and received a limited instrument and limited radio rating from the FAA.

The additional capabilities, shop space and staff allow Jet Aviation Teterboro to perform line maintenance, offer AOG support and provide inspections for avionics equipment. The authorizations apply to the operation’s foreign certificates as well.

“These additional FAA and foreign approvals are part of the many steps we are taking to expand our in-house capability and further improve support to our clients,” said John Langevin, vice president and general manager.

Matt Nevell also has joined the Teterboro avionics team as lead technician with three technicians reporting to him. He brings 26 years of aviation experience and is an industry-recognized expert in avionics installation, repair and troubleshooting. He began his career in the U.S. Navy as an avionics/inflight technician.

"Matt's experience will greatly improve our avionics support," said Dave Smith, senior director, MRO services. “We are in the process of adding many avionics OEM dealerships as well.”
