FirstFlight Expands Avionics Capabilities, Awarded Garmin Dealership

FirstFlight Inc., a full-service aviation company offering charter, management, maintenance, avionics and FBO services, has been named as an authorized Garmin dealership. The company, which provides a full range of maintenance capabilities to its aircraft management clients under FAA Part 135 and other aircraft owners under Part 145, views Garmin dealership status as a major step in providing a complete line of aviation equipment and services to its clients.

The primary product offerings include:
• Garmin 400/500 series GPS/NAV/COM and audio and transponder panels – simple upgrades or complete panel retrofit
• GMX multifunctional displays – the most popular STC accepted in more than 60 aircraft types
• G600/1000 glass cockpit retrofits
• GWX-68 radar – a powerful digital weather radar, upgrade for older analog radars
• The complete line of Garmin portable aviation GPS systems

According to FirstFlight president and CEO John Dow, "We are excited to be a part of the Garmin network. FirstFlight has been allocating resources to our maintenance group, and we believe that the avionics component provides a new dimension to the service that we offer aircraft owners and operators. We can now provide a broad range of Garmin services including the ability to sell their full aviation product line. This marks the first time that we can market products ranging from complete cockpit panel retrofits to portable GPS systems."

FirstFlight is headquartered in Elmira/Corning, New York.
