FAI Grows with Record Sales in 2010

German Air Ambulance Spezialist and VIP-Carrier FAI rent-a-jet AG (dba Flight Ambulance
International) reported new record sales of above EUR 42m in 2010, which reflects an increase of 27 percent when compared to 2009 (EUR 33.2m).
The growth of FAI´s three business divisions was 13 percent in Air Ambulance, 16 percent in Public Services and 32 percent in VIP-Charter. The earning before taxes (EBT) was at EUR 5.7m, close to 20 percent above 2009 (EUR 4.8m). For 2011, FAI is expecting total sales of more than EUR 50m, which again would reflect a growth of more than 20 percent.
FAI´s current fleet is totaling 18 Jets, and in March 2011, FAI is expecting delivery of a second Global Express, after the first aircraft of this type was put in service in July 2010.
Siegfried Axtmann, FAI-Chairman said that the acquisition of a second Global Express shows that FAI was responding to the high demand coming from the premium sector of VVIP-Travel. He said that could also lead to a third Global Express arriving soon.
FAI employs about 120 full-time employees at its home base in Nuremberg, Germany, as well as approximately 40 part-time employees. Part-time employees consist mostly of doctors and paramedics. Besides its home base Nuremberg, FAI is maintaining line stations in Dakar,Senegal,
Abidjan, Elfenbeinküste, Entebbe, Uganda and El Fasher, Sudan.
For the second quarter of 2011, FAI is scheduling to open another line station in Dubai, UAE. In mid April 2011, FAI will celebrate the opening of its new Hangar 6 inclusive office-building at the Nuremberg International Airport. The EUR 10m investment is undergoing final furnishing.
