FAI Celebrates Opening of New Hangar

German operator FAI rent-a-jet AG on April 15 hosted a big opening party of its new Hangar 6 and Office Building at Nuremberg Airport.

Under the Patronate of the German Federal Minister for Transport Dr. Peter Ramsauer and in presence of Secretary of State Katja Hessel and Unesco-Special Ambassador Dr. Ute Ohoven, around 250 guests from all over the world celebrated the completion of FAI´s €10 million investment, which was completed in fewer than 12 months. A highlight of the evening was the performance of the famous Gipsy Kings from Spain.

“With the opening of our ultramodern Hangar 6 and Office Building, FAI is setting new standards in aircraft maintenance and operations,” FAI chairman Siegfried Axtmann said. “It is our firm goal to attract aircraft owners for aircraft management while our new setup combined with our 25 years experience from more than 100,000 flight hours is underlining FAI´s top level position in the general aviation industry.”

FAI´s latest product is turnkey management for Bombardier and Falcon Dassault business jet aircraft. Within a total fleet of 21 aircraft, FAI is already managing three aircraft on behalf of third-party owners. FAI plans to double the number of aircraft under management by end of this year.
