FAI Launched €5 M Hangar Project

German Air Ambulance Operator FAI rent-a-jet AG, which recently became a member of Greece´s largest Investment Group MIG, is responding to its growth by building of an additional 1.000 m˛ at Nuernberg International Airport, Germany.

FAI's Chairman, Siegfried Axtmann, said that with FAI's successfuly completion of its negotiations with the Airport of Nuernberg to acquire a lease-lot of approximately 6.000 m˛, the company is now entering into the final planning phase to start constructions before end of this year.

"Because the current available lease space was not expandable any more, we decided to invest into an own building to secure the future of FAI´s Homebase and its 100 employees at Nuernberg International, which is one of the few unrestricted 24/7 low-cost airports in Germany," Axtmann said.

FAI´s new hangar will have the capability to accommodate aircraft up to the size of BBJ, which is unique in Germany´s General Aviation.

FAI´s current fleet consists of 11 Jets (2x LJ35A, 5x LJ55, 3x LJ60, 1x DA900) and is expected to be expanded by least two more jets per year.
