Desert Jet Receives National Certification as a Women's Business Enterprise

Desert Jet, an aircraft charter and management company based in the Palm Springs area of California, received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council–West, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

Desert Jet is the only certified Women’s Business Enterprise to hold an air carrier certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration and enabling the company to offer air charter services in its fleet of jet aircraft.

WBENC’s national standard of certification implemented by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council–West is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.

Desert Jet was founded by Denise Wilson, a pilot and entrepreneur who owns, operates and controls the fast-growing aviation company.
