The Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) is launching a series of training courses for its members to help new recruits to the sector and to provide vital information on changing legislation for all its members.
Both membership of the association and recruitment of newcomers to the air charter industry is growing and this is the first of a number of courses that BACA plans to run in 2009.
The first course, run in association with BACA member and law firm Stephenson Harwood, will cover the following:
• Aviation contract law & usual clauses found in aviation contracts
• Warsaw, Montreal & recent EU regulations governing carriers' liabilities
• Basic contract law
All participants will receive a certificate of attendance from BACA after completing the day’s course.
“Despite the recession, BACA’s membership is growing steadily," said Chairman of BACA, Markham Jackson. "I believe this is due to the broad range of benefits BACA members enjoy."
He also said that the new training course was just one of the ways BACA was extending what it offered to its members. "We are also developing a number of other exciting initiatives that will be launched in 2009,” he said.
At least 17 BACA members are due to attend the first session of the training course March 10, 2009. The course is designed to appeal not only to those experienced in air broking but also to trainees and those entering the industry for the first time.
