In conjunction with the introduction of Business Intelligence, Avinode has launched Charter Indexes: measuring demand, availability and pricing within the U.S. domestic and international charter markets. As the authority on charter demand and pricing, the Avinode Charter Indexes provide the industry at large with pertinent information and trend indicators that allow followers to track where the market has been, presently is and where it is heading in terms of supply, demand and overall activity.
“We are really excited about being able to service the industry with our indexes,” said Avinode CEO Niclas Wennerholm. “As the largest marketplace for air charter, Avinode is uniquely positioned to be able to identify trend indicators on the global and regional charter markets.”
By aggregating and analyzing data from Avinode’s historical and current database, the Avinode Charter Indexes are able to provide a large-scale representation of the state of the industry, based on charter demand, aircraft availability and pricing fluctuations with the accuracy and widespread coverage associated with the Avinode brand.
• Avinode Charter Demand Index demonstrates how strong the global air charter market is, giving readers the possibility to follow daily, monthly and yearly trends. A broad-based index displaying the average daily order value for all flights requested through the Avinode marketplace, leaving within the coming 30 days.
• Avinode Availability Index works as an indicator for how much and when people are flying and displays the percentage of available aircraft on a given charter market over the coming seven days
• Avinode Pricing Index designed to allow readers to follow pricing developments on the global air charter market. It is a broad-based index displaying average price per hour (hourly rate + fuel surcharges) for aircraft ranging from pistons to airliners
The Avinode Charter Indexes have not only captivated subscribers of the weekly Avinode Business Intelligence newsletters, but also the industry’s leading publications, including FlyCorporate and AIN.
“The Demand and Pricing indexes help me get a true sense of the state of the industry weekly, and as a journalist, it is interesting to follow and be on top of," said Taunya Renson-Martin of FlyCorporate.
Avinode members also see the value provided by having access to this Business Intelligence.
“The indexes are particularly interesting since it’s the only way for us, as a broker, to get a real and neutral snapshot of what’s happening in the market,” said Justin Bowman, Group Commercial Director, Air Charter Service Group PLC.
With access to Avinode’s Business Intelligence and Charter Indexes, readers have the competitive advantage of knowing what is happening in the industry on a worldwide level and how it will consequently affect business.
“The Business Intelligence provided by Avinode has always been a point of interest for Flightworks, as it has provided insight into trends and movement in the industry," said Scott Holliday, Client Services Manager of Georgia based Flightworks, Inc. "With the Business Intelligence newsletter, I have access to even more information on a weekly basis, which can only help our business.”
All in all, Avinode seeks to provide value beyond just the marketplace, and Avinode Business Intelligence does just that. Readers are that much more informed, having the access to information that professionals can rely on, facilitating decision-making and continued success in their business.
