Aviation Footprinter is Selected by Eurocypria for Emissions Reporting

Eurocypria recently selected to use Aviation Footprinter for its reporting, which is a software that produces the required annual emissions and tonne/kilometre reports. Captain Tony Economides, Ground Operations Manager of Eurocypria, described the software as a “great solution, which passed its trial with flying colours. Additionally its versatility of accepting uploads as well as manual inputs suits Eurocypria’s needs very well.”
Aviation Footprinter tracks and totalises the data, while a built‐in error checking system flags inconsistencies. The required emissions and tonne/kilometre reports can be produced at the click of a mouse, and, most importantly, Aviation Footprinter makes the data easily accessible to auditors when the time comes for verification.
“To comply with the regulations, we wanted the minimum admin input, but we also recognize our responsibility to track our carbon footprint and look for areas where we can reduce emissions," Economides said. "This system does more than just meet the EU requirements. It gives us a carbon risk management system and helps us locate fuel‐saving and emissions efficiency opportunities.”
David Carlisle, CEO of ETS Aviation, which created Aviation Footprinter, said ETS was delighted to work with Eurocypria.
"They have put Aviation Footprinter through an extensive trial and it’s met all their expectations," Carlisle said. "We know that the EU’s ETS requirements are dominating in the spotlight at present and operators are looking for a custom‐made solution that can easily merge with existing systems and processes."
Carlisle said Aviation Footprinter was designed to do just that because it was both operations-friendly and auditor-friendly. He said it was also possible that leading verification bodies were looking at the viability of remote verifications using the system.
"ETS data held on a web‐based system and accessible to verifiers would substantially reduce the auditors’ on‐site auditing and travel time," Carlisle said. "It’s another way we can help to keep costs down, increase efficiency and do our bit for the planet.”
The high level of technical and regulatory expertise already developed by ETS Aviation enables the company to provide highly cost‐effective aviation emissions software and outsourcing solutions to airlines, business aviation companies and corporate flight departments of all sizes.
