ABS Jets to Become Preferred Vendor for Universal Weather and Aviation in Czech Republic and Slovakia

ABS Jets and Universal Weather and Aviation announced that ABS Jets will now serve as a new Universal preferred ground handling provider in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“The combination of ABS Jets’ local market expertise and Universal’s global market presence provide a perfect blend of services and support for business jet clients, not just at Prague Ruzyne Airport, but also at the other major airports in the Czech Republic and Slovakia,” ABS Jets CEO and general director David Kyjovsky said.

ABS Jets, the largest aviation company of the more recent European Union countries in business aviation, is based in Prague, Czech Republic. Since 2008, it is also a Bratislava- and Slovakia-based business jet operator, maintenance and repair organization center, and business aviation ground handling and hangarage provider. It is the operator of the first business aviation FBO at the booming Prague Ruzyne Airport.

Universal is the recognized pioneer in trip support services for business aviation. It provides complex global trip support services to its clients at every point along their trips, virtually anywhere they fly.

“We are happy about our new role which will further strengthen our existing relationship with Universal,” Kyjovsky said. “I am positive that our common clients will appreciate the benefits of this relationship, resulting from the combination of our practical expertise and capabilities and Universal’s product offerings and global reach.”

“ABS Jets is a respected and well-established ground handling provider in the Eastern European market,” Jonathan Howells, Universal's regional director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said. “We are excited to be able to rely on the local expertise of ABS Jets for our clients’ ground handling needs when in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.”

ABS also continues to enlarge its portfolio of services by providing flight planning and flight monitoring services.

Having fulfilled all requirements, ABS Jets received the license from the Civil Aviation Office of the Czech Republic. ABS Jets' operational dispatching, which provides these services for the company’s own flights and for other aviation operators, operates nonstop at ABS Jets headquarters, located at Hangar C at the Prague Ruzyne Airport. However, thanks to IT and communication technologies it uses, the dispatching center is able to serve providers and flight crew basically anywhere in the world.
