ABS Jets, the Prague-based company providing a full range of aircraft services, has received authorization to carry out maintenance of UAE-registered aircraft.
ABS Jets has recognized that the UAE is a fast-growing market and has therefore completed a series of audits and approvals from the UAE CAA. Consequently, ABS Jets has obtained CAR 145 approval, which enables it to offer and carry out the full range of maintenance services for clients with Embraer aircraft: the Legacy 600, Phenom 100 and Phenom 300.
To meet the high standards required by its clients, ABS Jets implemented an intensive series of programs to ensure its services meet the very highest standards. ABS Jets made a massive investment in company infrastructure and facilities that continues through into 2011.
ABS Jets is increasing its hangar capacity by building a new hangar at the Prague airport and refurbishing the existing hangar as well. An increase in storage facilities will improve conditions and turnaround time for the 48- and 96-month inspections. So far, 12 of these inspections have been completed on Legacy 600s and have established ABS Jets as a maintenance center with the greatest level of experience in this sector.
To offer its clients more service opportunities, ABS Jets has installed new paint and composites facilities.
ABS Jets CEO Vladimir Petak said, “We have implemented one of the most intensive and effective series of upgrades and improvements to our facilities resulting in the most state-of-the-art maintenance center imaginable. The demands of the UAE CAA are of the highest standards, and we are delighted to have been able to work closely with them to fully meet their requirements and create such an MRO facility. Our position in the center of Europe means we are perfectly placed to handle the requirements of our UAE customers and offer them the ultimate in aircraft maintenance services.”
ABS Jets is an EASA Part 145 approved maintenance organization and an Embraer Authorized Service Center. The company currently has operational bases in Prague and Bratislava and is planning to open subsidiaries in Kiev and Sofia. Flight operations and services are carried out 24/7 to a global customer base. ABS Jets currently employs more than 180 employees.
