A new future for the Darta Group

After celebrating its 40 anniversary in 2011, Darta has joined the Jet Services Group, under the benevolent eye of founder Yves Darnaudet. Joining such a prestigious group, combined with Darta’s own know-how gives an intimation of new perspectives that await in terms of fleet and new services. A major real estate project has also been launched in Le Bourget.

Two outstanding women meet

This bridging between the two is the result of the meeting between Marie-Antoinette Dain, president of the Jet Services Group who, in less than four years, has made it one of Le Bourget’s major players; and Sylvie Darnaudet, director of the Darta Group, daughter of the founder and a widely acknowledged professional. Sharing the same vision of the future, together they are going to give a new impulse to Darta.

A new terminal for 2013

Darta’s facilities are at the centre of the future entrance of Le Bourget’s new airport. The Jet Services Group has invested in the construction of a hangar for wide-bodied aircraft and a new upmarket business aviation terminal.

The 6,500-m² terminal will comprise more than 1,000 m² of lounge areas, 1,000 m² of office space some of which will be leased to third parties, and a private underground car park.  A total of 8,500 m² of parking area and 4,000 m² of hangars will be fitted to house wide-bodied aircraft. The whole of the facilities was designed to be in perfect harmony with the architecture of the Ségur group’s future hotel which will be opposite the terminal.

New aircraft arrive

The impetus of the beginning of this year also involved the arrival in the fleet of new aircraft. They broaden Darta’s services by meeting all the clients’ requirements in a continually changing market:

-A Falcon 50EX arrived in January 2012, fitted to carry 10 passengers.
-A Falcon 900B and a Falcon 900EX will also join the fleet at the end of 2012.

Darta’s much diversified fleet therefore covers all business aviation segments, ranging from the Beech 90, 200 and Raytheon P1, to the Falcon10 and 50.
