Skyservice Business Aviation receives highest safety rating from Aviation Research Group/U.S.

Skyservice Business Aviation Inc. announced that it was rated “Platinum” by the Aviation Research Group/U.S., Inc. (ARG/US). This is the highest and most stringent rating in the aviation research group’s hierarchy of operational safety classifications.

ARG/US conducts on-site safety audits of the operation, maintenance, aircraft and pilots of over 140 business jet operators a year and measures the operator’s safety record against the industry’s best practices. To qualify for Platinum, an operator must have operational and maintenance standards that are deemed exceptional. Out of a total of over 1200 charter operators in the ARG/US database, only 63 have achieved ARG/US’ Platinum rating.

“For us and our customers, having a safety record that ranks among the best in the industry is paramount to our success,” says Lyn Shinn, Director, Business Development, Skyservice Business Aviation. “We are honoured to receive this rating because it validates our commitment to safety and operational excellence.”

“Skyservice Business Aviation has continually embraced high safety requirements,” says Joe Moeggenberg, president of ARG/US. “The first time we audited them, they achieved a Gold Plus rating right off the bat. Within six months, after focusing on a few areas of improvement, we re-audited them and they rated Platinum. Less than half of the Gold Plus-rated operators achieve Platinum status, so this speaks volumes to the safety culture Skyservice Business Aviation has instilled in their operations.”
