Ocean Sky Aviation Signal Substantial Growth And Confidence For Future With Significant Heavy Jet Fleet ExpansionLondon based private jet company Ocean Sky Aviation is proud to announce its acquisition of 8 heavy jets, further bolstering its industry leading fleet. The fleet expansion consists of 3 Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft and 5 Gulfstream G650. 2 of the Challengers have already been delivered with the final aircraft due August 2009. Gulfstream will begin production of its G650 in 4 years time with delivery to Ocean Sky soon afterwards. Ocean Sky CEO Kurosh Tehranchian says “This purchase shows the confidence we have for the future. Not only are we making a long term commitment for some of the best jets in their class, but this is also a strategic move to expand our heavy jet fleet at a time when others are cutting back.” The owned aircraft fleet expansion comes on top of an expected 8 additions to Ocean Sky’s managed aircraft fleet over the next 6 months. The additions will, in time, take Ocean Sky’s fleet to a total of at least 17 aircraft, of which at least 11 will be owned. The purchase of new aircraft reflects a huge level of activity and growth for Ocean Sky. “Our growth levels at present are excellent. Unlike other sectors we’re not being adversely hit by the world economic slowdown. Our turnover looks set to almost double this year and fleet expansion will ensure our success and growth in the next decade.” says Ocean Sky CEO Kurosh Tehranchian.
