NBAA Announces Scholarship and Training Award Opportunities

Each year, the National Business Aviation Association’s Schedulers & Dispatchers Committee promotes education and career development through scholarships and training awards supported by the generosity of industry donors. To date, the committee has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships along with countless training awards. Applications for the 2013 scholarships and awards are available now on www.nbaa.org.

“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to offer financial and training scholarships to the scheduler and dispatcher community through the generous support of our donor organizations,” said Lori Knoper, Chairperson of the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship Committee. “Educational growth and continuous training are critical to advancement and development of individuals in flight operations,” said Knoper.

Available awards include up to $10,000 per applicant and 15 training awards. Applicants may apply for both financial awards and training awards. All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, September 28, 2012 to be considered. Knoper’s Scholarship Committee will be responsible for selecting the recipients, who will be announced at the upcoming NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference, held January 22-25, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas.

Scholarships and training awards are not limited to schedulers and dispatchers. Flight attendants and individuals in other relevant positions are also encouraged to apply.
