Key Air Hosts Jet Showcase

On May 7, 2008, Key Air hosted its first annual jet showcase event, entitled “Excellence and Opulence”. Their hangar at Waterbury-Oxford Airport in Oxford, Connecticut was transported into a glittery showcase of luxury cars, artwork, jewels and crystal. Harry Winston served as the show’s exclusive sponsor, with additional sponsors including Hennessy, Lalique and Fritz’ Segway and Harley Davidson, among others. Guests sipped champagne and other fine beverages provided by Moet-Hennessy and enjoyed a sumptuous and varied feast catered by the fabulous 121 Restaurant and Bar.

Just outside of the hangar, a static display showcased aircraft by Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault and Embraer. Later in the day, a live auction was held to benefit the alliance of Civilization Media Fund, a not-for-profit whose mission is to promote, support and sustain media content affecting great mutual understanding and respect between currently polarized cultures and societies. Some of the items for auction were two tickets to the Hollywood premiere of The Soloist, a Harry Winston Premier Excenter Chronograph, and 4 days and 3 nights on Sir Richard Branson’s private island!
