FAI reports record sales in 2011

German operator FAI rent-a-jet AG after 2010 again reported record sales in 2011, generating operational revenues of more than € 50 m (US$ 68 m), which reflects an increase of around 20 % vs. 2010. Most of the growth came from the VVIP-Charter- Division, which increased its revenues to around € 16 m. vs. € 7 m. in 2010.

The Air Ambulance-Division generated 40 % of the total revenues, which was more than € 20 m. in 2011. Special-Logistic for NGO´s in Africa delivered another income of around € 10 m. For the year of 2012 FAI is expecting a further growth by at least 10 %, while a second CRJ 200 plus a second Global Express will join FAI´s fleet in second quarter of 2012, totaling FAI´s fleet to 21 Jet Aircraft (14 Learjet, 2 ea. Challenger 604, 2 ea. CRJ 200, 2 ea. Global Express and 1 Falcon 900 DX EASy).

“Our main goal for 2012 is to expand our Business in Middle East, especially in the UAE-region, after we just have opened a Branch Office in Dubai and simultaneously have based one of our Ambulance-Learjet 60´s at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi. Furthermore FAI will target Aircraft Owners in this region to offer Management- Services after obtaining CAMO- and Maintenance-Approvals form UAE´s CAA”, FAI´s Chairman Siegfried Axtmann in a statement.
