Washington National Airport Opens its Doors to Chantilly AirChantilly Air, a leading aircraft charter operator and aircraft services company headquartered in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area, has received initial approval from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to conduct flights at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Chantilly Air expects to start offering charter flights at DCA in the next 60 days. Since September 11, 2001, general aviation aircraft operations have been prohibited at DCA. In response to the overwhelming demand to re-open DCA to general aviation, the TSA developed a security plan called the DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP). All general aircraft operations wanting access to DCA have to be vetted by TSA and adapt to the TSA's DASSP program. The program's focus is to allow limited general aviation operations at DCA while still maintaining security to our nation's capital and metropolitan area. The TSA's approval allowing Chantilly Air access to DCA is another fine example of Chantilly Air's commitment and diligence to safety and security. Chantilly Air is an Aviation Services Company providing Aircraft Maintenance, Charter, Management, Storage, and Fueling. Chantilly Air holds the ARG/US Platinum rating for their exemplary safety record, superior equipment & processes and strict adherence to best industry practices. Want to use this article?
